Watersmeet man pleads to pointing gun

ONTONAGON, MI--   An Ontonagon County man arrested after he pointed a gun at someone from his car has pleaded guilty in the case. 

Donald Klingman, 62, of Watersmeet Township was accused of driving recklessly last December and pointing a firearm at another motorist.  He was charged with felonious assault and possessing a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Klingman pleaded guilty Wednesday to aiming a firearm without malice and improper possession of a firearm in or upon a motor vehicle. 

Sentencing is set for October 3.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
