Marquette woman arraigned on eight felony charges

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette woman arrested after a shot was fired during a domestic incident faces eight felony charges.  

City Police were called Tuesday morning to the 100 block of East Fair Avenue in response to a possible domestic assault in progress. They say during the incident a firearm was produced and a shot was fired into a wall.  No one was injured.

Amber Suggitt, 32, was arrested and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.  She’s charged with assault with intent to murder, kidnapping, first-degree home invasion, assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, and four counts of felony firearms. 

A preliminary exam is set for March 28. 

Suggitt remains lodged on an $8 million bond.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
