Barker cases headed to circuit court

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Negaunee woman arrested for stealing medication while working at UPHS-Marquette has been bound over to circuit court. 

Emily Barker, 26, is charged with larceny in a building, four counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

She’s also charged in another case with resisting/obstructing an officer, three counts of operating while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 16, three counts of 4th degree child abuse, and operating without security.

Arraignment in both cases is set for January 11 in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
