Man arraigned in Schoolcraft County attempted murder case

MANISTIQUE, MI--   A Manistique man has been arraigned for the shooting of an Inwood Township resident. 

Trevor Gault, 33, is charged with assault with intent to murder and felony firearms in connection with the June 17 incident. He remains lodged in the Schoolcraft County Jail on a $5 million cash bond.

Gault’s girlfriend, 20-year-old Alyssa Arnold, is charged with harboring a fugitive. Her bond is set at $500,000.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Sergeant Hauswirth at the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post at 428-4411.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
