MARQUETTE, MI— A Marquette man charged with 32 counts related to possession of child pornography has been sentenced to 6 to 20 years in prison.
Thomas Raymus pleaded guilty to 10 counts of child sexually abusive activity on March 9. He was originally charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, but further investigation indicated he had downloaded thousands of pornographic images from the internet.
On Friday Raymus was ordered to serve 6 to 20 years on each of the 10 counts. The sentences will run concurrently.
The case was investigated by the Marquette Police Department and the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
