L'Anse woman sentenced to 5 to 20 years on meth charge

BARAGA, MI— A Baraga County woman has been sentenced on a drug charge.

Kelsey Brennan, 30, of L’Anse was arrested as part of a six-month-long investigation conducted by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

She pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute meth, habitual offender – 2nd offense. Two counts of delivery of meth were dropped.

Brennan was sentenced Thursday to five to 20 years in prison.

UPSET was assisted by Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post and the Keweenaw Bay Tribal Police K-9 Unit.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
