UPSET suspect arraigned on cocaine charges

BARAGA, MI— A Baraga County suspect arrested on cocaine charges by UPSET last week has been arraigned.

Randy Owens, 41, was taken into custody when police found pills and more than 40 grams of cocaine in his vehicle. Illegal pills and firearms were also found at his residence.

Owens was arraigned Monday on six counts of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance, less than 50 grams. He remains lodged in the Baraga County Jail on a $250,000 cash or surety bond.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
