Houghton County woman charged in Republic Township 2-vehicle crash

MARQUETTE, MI— A Hubbell woman has been arraigned on charges connected to a two-vehicle crash in Republic Township on May 26th.

It happened on M-95 near Kingfisher Road. Aurora Saterstad-Scott, 23, is accused of rear-ending a truck with her van. The driver of the truck—containing two Marquette residents—lost control and left the road. The van continued down the road until it flipped onto its roof.

Saterstad-Scott is charged with two counts of operating under the influence-causing injury and two counts of operating while intoxicated with an occupant under the age of 16 - 2nd offense.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
