Phone scam in Delta County

ESCANABA, MI--   The Delta County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about a phone scam making the circuit.

Deputies say they’ve taken several complaints from people who received a phone message saying their Delta County Credit Union debit card has been frozen.  The recording then prompts the person to talk to a so-called customer service representative.

Deputies say residents should not give such information over the phone, and if they have any questions to contact their credit union directly.
