Meth bust in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--  

A Marquette man has been arrested in connection with purchasing meth ingredients. 

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team was conducting surveillance Tuesday night on a 21-year-old male suspected of manufacturing meth when detectives observed him purchasing known meth components. 

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post conducted a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest.

The man remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on charges of possession of meth components.  He faces up to ten years in prison. 

The case remains under investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
