Multiple arrests by UPSET in Marquette County drug busts

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team has been busy over the past few weeks.  

On April 8 detectives arrested two Marquette County residents after meth components and the finished product were found at 216 Midway Drive in Negaunee Township.  Both suspects were lodged in the Marquette County Jail for possession of meth and conspiracy to manufacture meth.  Their names have not yet been released.

On April 10 UPSET and troopers from the 8th District Hometown Security Team responded to 169 Albatross Street in Gwinn and arrested a 45-year-old woman.  She was jailed for conspiracy to manufacture meth, conspiracy to manufacture meth in the presence of a child, and attempting to over-purchase pseudoephedrine.

The suspect’s 13-year-old son was removed from the home and turned over to the Department of Human Services. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
