UPSET continues to deal with meth in U.P.

MARQUETTE, MI--   It was a busy time for the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team last week.

On Thursday UPSET detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Horseshoe Lake Road in Forsyth Township.  They removed meth components from inside and took two suspects into custody.

The same day detectives assisted deputies from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office with an HCL “gas generator”—a component used in the meth-making process.  It was found in a ditch along County Road 550.

And on Friday UPSET detectives assisted Marquette Police with another HCL gas generator found on a side trail near Marquette Mountain.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
