UPSET nabs three on pot charges in Schoolcraft County

UPDATE, 6/16/14, 8:20 p.m.--   Officials have released the names of the three suspects.  Arraigned Monday were Jeffrey Durkin, 48, Shane Henry, 39, and Addie Jo Bradley, 32.

MANISTIQUE, MI--   Three Manistique residents have been arrested on drug charges.  

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed two search warrants last week on a residence on Elk Street.  Apprehended were a 48-year-old male, a 40-year-old male, and a 32-year-old female.  All three were charged with manufacturing over 100 marijuana plants, conspiracy to manufacture over 100 plants, and maintaining a drug house.  The two men were also charged with being habitual offenders.

UPSET was assisted by Manistique Public Safety, the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department, and troopers from the Manistique Detachment. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
