Ishpeming men arrested after allegedly making meth

ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI--   Three Ishpeming men have been arrested on various meth charges.

On Monday City Police were alerted that someone had purchased possible meth components at a local store.  Shortly afterward three people were seen on an Ishpeming Township snowmobile trail at the end of North Westwood Drive, apparently making meth.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team was called in and found a cooking pot and HCL generator.  Suspected meth was also found on one of the suspects.

Arrested were Daniel Tonge, 37, Bradley Merrills, 24, and Kyle Dorow, 19—all from Ishpeming.  They’re each charged with delivery/manufacture of meth, operating/maintaining a meth lab, and conspiracy to deliver/manufacture meth.  All three charges are felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

A probable cause conference is set for March 17 in Marquette District Court.  A preliminary hearing for each suspect is also set for March 24 in Ishpeming District Court.
