UPSET cleans up meth components in Sawyer house

SAWYER, MI--   Forsyth Township Police are investigating a possible meth lab found in a residence at Sawyer.

Last Wednesday police and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team were called to the 300 block of Quail Street.  A woman said she discovered what she thought was a meth lab in the basement of the house.

Officials found the remnants of materials used to make the drug in the one-pot cooking method.  Some of the material was still active and dangerous.  The components were collected and secured by UPSET.

The incident remains under investigation.
