Pot bust in Kincheloe

KINCHELOE, MI--   A Chippewa County drug bust by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team uncovered nearly 40 marijuana plants.  

On Wednesday upset executed two search warrants at 26 and 28 Erin Place in Kincheloe.  Detectives seized 39 marijuana plants, nearly $1,200 in cash, and grow equipment. 

Two of the three occupants in the residence possessed Michigan Medical Marijuana Patient cards, but investigation revealed the subjects had more than the legal amount of plants allowed and were involved in the illegal distribution of pot.

No arrests have yet been made.  The investigation continues.
