Forsyth Township duo arrested for making meth

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--    Two Gwinn residents are jailed on meth charges.

The Forsyth Township Police Department received a complaint Monday from a resident who said ATVs had established a trail through his property and were using it day and night.  He said they stopped on his property for extended periods of time for unknown reasons.

Investigation determined someone had been manufacturing meth in a wooded area when components were discovered.

Members of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team set up surveillance in the area that night.  They soon encountered a man on an ATV and discovered he had meth-making components.  UPSET also determined that a female suspect had purchased pseudoephedrine needed to make the drug.

The suspects – Corey Racine, 26, and Brittany Anders, 26 – were lodged in the Marquette County Jail.  Racine is charged with delivery/manufacture of meth and two counts of conspiracy to deliver/manufacture meth.  Anders is charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth and operating/maintaining a meth lab.

Police say investigation of the case is ongoing and additional suspects may be arrested.
