FBI leaves, but investigation into Regan disappearance continues

IRON RIVER, MI--   All law enforcement has left the Caspian Pit area, after having spent most of the week investigating the disappearance of an Iron River man.

Christopher Regan, 53, was last seen in October of 2014.  Officials have searched the houses of those who last had contact with him.

WLUC-TV reports the FBI and city police pulled equipment and personnel from the pit Thursday.  Iron River Police Chief Laura Frizzo said “items of significance” were found, but didn’t say what they were.

The case remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
