HOUGHTON  - A Hancock man has been arrested in connection with death of an infant last summer. According to WLUC-TV, 27-year-old Benjamin Michael Reilly was arraigned on Wednesday on one count of ‘involuntary manslaughter’ and two counts of ‘second degree child abuse. Officials say that Reilly allegedly caused harm to Remy Wayne Reilly by providing unsafe sleeping conditions after providing the infant alcohol beverages. Reilly is also facing charges of breaking and entering, receiving stolen goods, filing a false police report and third degree fleeing and eluding. He is being held in Houghton County Jail on a $1.5 million bond.

Reilly is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on November 9 and has a preliminary hearing on November 23.
