Schoolcraft County man nabbed in pot bust

MANISTIQUE, MI--   Police have arrested a Manistique man in connection with a marijuana operation between Michigan and Wisconsin.

Detectives from UPSET received credible evidence from law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin that indicated large quantities of marijuana were being transported and sold to other conspirators in Wisconsin.

On Monday detectives arrested Jason Jerome Gregurash, 37, after he tried to deliver more than 15 pounds of marijuana to the Badger State.  A search warrant executed as his home uncovered five pounds of packaged marijuana and 72 plants.  Officials say the 20 pounds of pot has a street value of $70,000

Gregurash was arraigned on a charge of delivery of over 5 kilograms of marijuana.

Additional arrests are expected.  The investigation is ongoing.
