UPSET arrests Marquette resident on cocaine charges

MARQUETTE, MI--   A drug bust has resulted in the arrest of a Marquette resident. 

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team searched a residence on the 1700 block of Longyear Avenue.  Detectives seized cocaine, ecstasy, illegal prescription pills, and more than $900 in cash. 

UPSET arrested a 38-year-old male at the residence on charges relating to delivery of cocaine.  Additional charges are expected.

The suspect remains lodged at the Marquette County Jail.

UPSET was assisted by the Marquette City Police Department at their K-9 Scud.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
