Meth lab, unresponsive people found in Houghton County house

RIPLEY, MI--   Two Houghton County residents were found unresponsive amid meth components Tuesday.

Around 2:30 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical call on Royce Road in Ripley.  Upon arrival they encountered a possible meth lab and components in the residence.  Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrived wearing personal protective equipment and found a single-pot meth lab, which was recovered and secured.

The two residents were taken to UPHS Portage for treatment.
