UPSET executes search warrant at Baraga County home

BARAGA COUNTY, MI--   A Baraga County couple is lodged in the Mackinac County Jail on drug charges.

The man and woman—both 34-years old—were arrested in Mackinac County Wednesday for operating under the influence of drugs and possession of meth.

On Thursday the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at the couple’s home. Detectives seized several more grams of meth, scales, packaging for distribution, and a firearm.

Charges in Baraga County are pending review by the Baraga County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
