Baraga County residents arrested for selling morphine

BARAGA, MI--    Three people have been arrested in Baraga County on drug-related charges.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team conducted an investigation over the past year. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for a 29-year-old man, a 58-year-old man, and a 26-year-old woman for multiple counts of Delivery of morphine. UPSET says the subjects were involved in selling morphine in the county and within the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

All three suspects were arrested at different locations in Baraga County and were lodged in the county jail.

Their names are being withheld, pending arraignment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
