HOUGHTON, MI-- Trial is set for a Houghton man accused of downloading child pornography.
Nathaniel Shapiro, 27, was arrested on the campus of Michigan Technological University in August. He’s charged with three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
The Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated Shapiro, who was a student at the time of his arrest. Officials say he possessed a large number of digital devices and had been uploading images on campus.
Trial is scheduled for April 1 in Houghton County Circuit Court.
