Meth bust in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Two people have been arrested in an Iron Mountain meth investigation.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team says early Thursday detectives observed a vehicle leaving a suspected drug house. They asked the Michigan State Police to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence of drugs. The occupants of the vehicle admitted to purchasing crystal meth from the residence they were seen leaving.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the house. They seized more than 30 grams of crystal meth and more than $1,000 in cash. The homeowner was arrested and lodged in the Dickinson County Jail on meth charges.

The investigation is ongoing. Additional arrests are expected.
