CALUMET, MI-- A Calumet man has been arrested in connection with a drugs and sex case in the city.
Friday detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Pine Street. The warrant was the result of a two-month investigation into the illegal selling of prescription drugs and the attempted solicitation of sex for drugs.
The search uncovered prescription drugs and a small amount of cash. A pistol and two long guns were also seized.
A 54-year-old man was arrested and lodged at the Houghton County Jail.
The case is being reviewed by the Houghton County Prosecutor’s Office and additional charges are pending.
