Officers say several calls were received this week from people who claimed to be bill collectors. Both residents are businesses have been targeted.

Police say MoneyGram and iTunes cards are not forms of payment to Xcel and people should not give the caller any personal information.

Anyone worried about power issues or their bill should contact Xcel directly.
