UPSET arrests Menominee man on drug charges

MENOMINEE, MI--  A Menominee man is jailed for manufacturing meth.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team determined the suspect was making the drug at his 10th Street residence. A search warrant uncovered components used to make meth and finished product. On Friday the 56-year-old man was arrested and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.

Officers from the Menominee City Police Department and firefighter from the City Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The case remains under investigation. Additional arrests are expected.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
