Marquette has been named the 31st safest college town in the nation and second safest in the state.
That’s according to 2021 rankings released by company SafeWise. The listing is based on college towns that report the lowest number of violent crimes and property crimes per 1,000 residents.
SafeWise ranked 422 cities with populations of 15,000 or more that are home to accredited colleges with four-year degrees.
