MARQUETTE, MI— The Michigan State Police has apprehended a Marquette man on charges related to child pornography.
The Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced the arrest of Thomas Raymus, 37, for child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
An investigation of Raymus was initiated when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip. Police searched his home and seized multiple internet-capable devices.
Raymus was arraigned in Marquette District Court on Thursday. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted as charged.
The investigation continues, and additional charges could be issued.
The Marquette Police Department assisted in the case.
