Meth, Fentanyl found in White Pine suspect's residence by UPSET

WHITE PINE, MI— An Ontonagon County man is jailed on drug charges, following an investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

UPSET detectives and troopers from the Wakefield Post obtained information that a known drug dealer—who was on a delayed sentence from the Federal Bureau of Prisons—was suspected of receiving large amounts of crystal meth and fentanyl pills.

A search warrant was executed Thursday at the suspect’s residence in White Pine. Detectives uncovered about 25 grams of crystal meth, more than 130 suspected fentanyl pills, and evidence of drug distribution.

The suspect remains lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail.
