Menominee men arrested on meth charges

MENOMINEE, MI— An explosion at a suspected meth lab led to the arrest of two Menominee men last week.

It happened May 7 at a house on the 1000 block of 18th Avenue in Menominee. The home is the suspected site of a meth lab.

A multiple-count felony complaint charges David Erdman, 43, and Donald Myers, 50, with manufacture of meth, operating a laboratory near specified places, and operating a laboratory involving hazardous waste.

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed search warrants at that house and at a home on the 2400 block of 10th Avenue. Detectives seized ingredients and equipment used to manufacture meth.

Erdman and Myers remain lodged in the Menominee County Jail on $50,000 bonds.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
