BARAGA COUNTY, MI— A Baraga County man is jailed, following the conclusion of a yearlong drug investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
On Thursday, The Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle. They discovered more than 40 grams of cocaine and illegal prescription pills.
UPSET also executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence. They uncovered more illegal pills, two handguns, and several long guns.
The suspect was arrested on three counts of delivery of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver cocaine. He remains lodged in the Baraga County Jail.
UPSET was assisted by Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post, Baraga County Sheriff’s Deputies, the MSP Hometown Security Team, and the MSP Negaunee Post K-9.
