Hessell murder victim identified

MACKINAC COUNTY, MI— Police have released the name of the man killed in Mackinac County last month.

Troopers from the St. Ignace Post were dispatched May 25^th to a residence just north of Hessell and found Ralph Patrick, 73, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Joelle Chamberlain, 34, Patrick’s relative, was found a short time later and taken into custody. She’s charged with homicide-open murder.

Chamberlain remains lodged without bond in the Mackinac County Jail.

A preliminary exam is set for Thursday in district court.
