Suspected drug dealer arrested after traffic stop in Delta County

DELTA COUNTY, MI— The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team has arrested a suspected drug dealer in Delta County.

On December 28, UPSET detectives, Michigan State Police troopers, and the K-9 unit from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle. The police dog alerted on the vehicle and officers seized a pound of meth and an ounce of cocaine.

The driver was lodged in the Delta County Jail.

No names were released. The case remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
