Tech named one of the best

HOUGHTON, MI--   Michigan Technological University has been rated one of the best universities in the Midwest for the second year in a row.

The Princeton Review says Tech is one of 153 schools it recommends as “Best in the Midwest.”  The review says Tech offers outstanding academics, based on institutional data it collects, visits to the school, feedback from students, and the opinions of the 30-member National College Counselor Advisory Board.

Tech was also included in the Princeton Review’s “Best 377 Colleges” publication, which spotlights the top 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and three colleges outside the U.S.  The rankings are based in part on a survey of students attending the schools.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
