NMU to hold inaugural cannabis conference in April

MARQUETTE, MI— Northern Michigan University is hosting the first-ever Great Lakes Cannabis Education Conference next month.

Officials say the event was created to facilitate open dialogue and exchange of ideas; highlight teaching and research about cannabis; showcase evolving trends in the industry; summarize the state of the industry; and share findings and best practices in cannabis research, teaching and learning.

Panelists will be comprised of teachers, scholars, legal experts, industry leaders and more.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
