Marquette County, MI – In Marquette County residents approved .55 mills over 5 years for operation of the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Chocolay, Tilden, Negaunee, and Marquette Townships and the cities of Negaunee, Marquette, and Ishpeming passed a proposal of .2 mills over 6 years to construct and maintain the Iron Ore Heritage Trail.

In Ewing Township residents said yes to 2 mills over 4 years for roads.

Marquette Township voters supported .9 mills over 2 years and Powell Township voters passed 1 mill over 2 years for operation of the Peter White Public Library.

Republic Township residents passed 5 mills over 4 years for general operations.

One mill for 5 years for roads in Richmond Township was approved.

In Skandia Township voters supported one mill over 5 years for road maintenance.

Tilden Township residents said yes to 1 mill over 5 years for roads.

In West Branch Township, voters approved 1.98 mills over 5 years for emergency services, but rejected .5 mills over 5 years for general operations.

In contested races for the Marquette County Board of Commissioners, District 2 voters selected Harvey Wallace.

District 3 voters chose Bruce Heikkila.

In District 6 residents picked Paul Arsenault.

Deborah Pellow won in District 7.

On the Republican ticket in District 8, voters selected Bob Struck.
