Menominee County, MI - Menominee County Prosecutor Jeffrey Rogg (like dog) says a write-in candidate is ineligible to run against him in the August Primary Election. Nicholas Tselepsis (tseh-LEP’-sis) announced his candidacy on July-26th. He had worked in the Menominee County Prosecutor’s Office from September 2021 to February 2022. Tselepsis filed documents in the Menominee County Clerk’s Office affirming he lived in Wallace, but Rogg claims Tselepsis actually lives and works in Tuscola (tuss-KOH’-luh) County… which makes him ineligible to run for prosecutor in Menominee County. Rogg filed a complaint with the Michigan Bureau of Elections Wednesday, claiming Tselepsis has committed fraud, forgery, and false swearing.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
