State election to take place on Tues, Nov. 4

UNDATED— Michigan’s November consolidated election will be held Tuesday.

It won’t be as busy as a primary or general election, but there are some important issues on the ballot for some municipalities.

The City of Gladstone has three spots open on its city council, while Ironwood residents will pick five city commissioners.

A $13 million bond proposal for Hancock Public Schools is on the ballot. Gwinn and Ishpeming schools are offering $48 million and $3.7 million bond proposals, respectively. And residents in the North Central Area Schools district will consider a $10.3 million bond proposal.

In Menominee, residents will vote on an amendment to the city ordinance that would restrict the number of marijuana retailers in the city to no more than nine.
