Firefighters working to contain brush fire

  Marquette, County, MI.- Firefighters are working to put out a brush fire near K.I. Sawyer. According to WLUC-TV, the broke out Sunday at about 6pm in fields behind Savage Road. The fire covers about 5.2 acres and is said to be largest in the area so far this year. While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the DNR believes it may have been caused by humans. Fire danger is currently listed as ‘high’ with the possibility of becoming ‘very high’ as dry because of continued dry weather. Firefighters from Forsyth Township and the DNR are working to put out the fire.
