Recycle old electronics in Marquette this Saturday

MARQUETTE, MI--   Another electronics recycling event is being held in the U.P. this week.

Goodwill and Comprenew, with the Superior Watershed Partnership and the Department of Environmental Quality, are hosting it Saturday at the Marquette Public Works building.

A partial list of items that will be accepted include cell phones, computer monitors, copy machines, cordless phones, fax machines, laptop computers, keyboards and mice, microwave ovens, printers, scanners, stereo equipment, televisions, and VCR and DVD players. For a complete list of acceptable items go to goodwillnorth.org or comprenew.org.

The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.

This is the second of several collections that will occur throughout the summer.   More details will be forthcoming on those events.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
