MARQUETTE, MI--   In line with Governor Whitmer’s “stay home, stay safe” executive order, the Sugarloaf Mountain Natural Area will be closed until at least April 13.

Marquette County Administrator Scott Erbisch says the action is being taken to minimize the unintentional spread of COVID-19, as maintaining at least six feet between individuals on the stairs and observation decks is not practical.

Updates will be posted on the county’s website as necessary. Go to mqtco.org.
