GLADSTONE, MI— Upper Peninsula Power Company is closing the boat launch facility at dam #4 on the Boney Falls reservoir next Tuesday.
Officials say it’s required to prepare for planned maintenance and improvements this summer. Crews will be assembling a construction barge and staging materials necessary for the improvements.
UPPCO is asking people to use the boat launch near dam #3 on the Escanaba River, instead.
Access to the campground near dam #4 will be available, but will be delayed at times.
