LAKE LINDEN, MI— The Department of Natural Resources is holding a public meeting in Houghton County next week to talk about the development of a scenic site.
On Wednesday, the DNR will present conceptual designs for the revamping of Douglass Houghton Falls. Plans include a parking lot, vault toilet, information kiosk, pedestrian path, pedestrian bridge, an observation deck or decks, and safety fencing. A veterans memorial will also be erected at the site.
At the meeting, DNR staff and UP Engineers & Architects will present their concepts and allow the public to provide feedback.
The meeting takes place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Lake Linden-Hubbell High School.
