E-waste collection planned for Saturday in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI— The Superior Watershed Partnership and EGLE are giving residents a chance to properly dispose of their electronic waste on Saturday.

A collection site will be set up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marquette Municipal Service Center on Wright Street.

Residents can dispose of such items as TVs, keyboards, computers, routers, fax machines, gaming consoles, and VCRs for a small fee per carload. No kitchen appliances will be accepted.

Coordinators are also looking for volunteers to help with the event. For more information, contact Kathleen Henry at 906-228-6095, ext. 11.
