MUNISING, MI— The Munising Falls Trail at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is closed until further notice.
About 75 feet of the paved trail was washed out Monday by heavy rainfall and seasonal snow melt. Officials say as a result, there is currently no safe access point to view Munising Falls.
Travel in the Munising Falls area is now prohibited in order to protect both visitor safety and sensitive natural resources.
