ST. IGNACE, MI (MPRN)— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has approved a permit for a proposed tunnel project under the Straits of Mackinac.
It's one of the last required permits for Enbridge's Line 5 project, although several lawsuits are pending. The Corps says the tunnel is not contrary to the public interest and does not "impermissibly impair Treaty rights."
