MARQUETTE, MI-- UP Health System Marquette is hosting a forum to discuss what will happen to the old hospital buildings once the new facility is constructed.
UPHS Regional President Jim Bogan says officials want public input as early as possible in the construction process, and finding a purpose for the current campus is a high priority.
The present hospital complex consists of buildings with construction dates ranging from 1915 to 2006.
The new hospital and medical office buildings are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2018. Groundbreaking is expected late next month.
The forum will be held May 2 at 7 p.m. at the UPHS-Marquette Conference Center.
